Eight division world champion Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao just made an announcement that he'll be coming out of retirement. He chooses reigning WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas as his opponent.
Pacquiao made things official after a meeting with his promoter Bob Arum on Tuesday.
"Yes the fight is on. I have agreed to a November 5 fight with reigning WBO welterweight champion Jessie Vargas. Boxing is my passion. I miss what I'd been doing inside the gym and atop the ring." - Pacquiao said.
Pacquiao (58-6-2 38 KOs) was last seen in action wining via UD over Bradley in April. In a post fight interview, he had promised to retire from the sport and focus on his political career.
This time, Pacquiao wants to train here in Manila.
"My entire training camp will be held here in the Philippines so I can attend to my legislative works.
This is my campaign promise and I'm determined to keep it"
