Roger Mayweather’s Poor Health: Blind and In a Vegetable State





In 2013, Roger Mayweather was diagnosed with various health conditions. It includes diabetes and dementia.

Others who are close to Roger have noticed some changes on him the way he handles his daily gym chores.

But Roger himself, avoided being checked and doesn’t want to take any medications.

Years have passed, the former boxer and trainer was in and out of the medical clinic due to some complications.

And last week, his condition got worsen. Floyd heartbrokenly admitted that Roger is now in a vegetable state with visual impairment (this maybe due to his diabetes).

He is in undisclosed facility with his family and some medical personnel surrounding him.

Roger doesn’t talk, doesn’t walk and doesn’t recognize people……There’s no communication at all.

When he was inducted in Nevada Boxing Hall of Fame in 2015, he had speech impediment, so Floyd had to deliver a speech on behalf of him.

Roger had guided many young fighters during his career as a trainer and one of them is his nephew Floyd who is currently on tour but keeps everything on his radar in regards with Roger’s condition.

Roger is the “Black Mamba” of boxing. Had a pro debut on 1981 and retired in 1999 with a record of 59 wins and 13 loses.His stint as a professional fighter lasted for 18 consecutive years capturing belts in two different weight divisions.
