News that was headlined on Wednesday.
Some sports outlets voiced that the mega bout #MayweatherMcGregor was finalized. But these are just a total hoax.
Mayweather went on social media and denied the said report.
Although
there has been several rumors circulating thru media suggesting that I will
have an upcoming fight, I'd like to set that record straight and state that
there has been no deals made on my behalf in regards to a bout with any fighter
at this time. I am happily retired and enjoying my life! Rest assured that if

I honestly have no idea on how or where people had this story.
It’s really impossible to make this fight (considering financial side +
Conor’s UFC contract). This is not going to be an easy work especially for
McGregor.
While Floyd is floating freely, Conor is tied with the UFC and still have
four fights left on his contract.
Dana White has said that Conor can’t do what he wanted to do and He (Conor)
is not a boss. He’s still under the UFC organization.
This
rumored fight is circulating for months. Both have already shown interest in
facing each other but some stuff is still holding things up.
