UFC’s star
fighter Conor McGregor voices out interest in facing his arch rival, Nate Diaz
for the third time.
The two have
met twice.
On their
first meeting at the UFC196, Diaz toyed McGregor and hands his first loss in
UFC. Diaz won via rear naked choke.
The controversial
Irishman and one of the most exciting fearless mma artists Nate Diaz last met
in the main card of UFC202. McGregor went victorious via majority decision
(48-47 2x 47-47).
It was a
total war. Diaz almost caught McGregor (gassed out) in mid round but saved by
the bell. Conor bounced back and landed some pretty good shots.
The current
standing of the two is 1-1.
Recently,
McGregor addressed to social media his interest in making a trilogy with Diaz.
“This
is an amazing video of an amazing chapter in my career! This is a brutal
business! Some have it. Most don’t. I look forward to the trilogy fight down
the road. It was a hell of a fight!” – Conor
McGregor
Both
fighters are fascinated in closing out the series, but it seems that the
organization itself is blocking it to make it happen.
Dana White
previously stated that the trilogy between the two won’t happen because of the
weight class.
But #Sportstalk247
think that closing the McGregor-Diaz series does makes more sense than staging
a boxing vs. mma bout. They did it twice, so why don’t they push for the finale?
Surely it
will be the most thrilling event in UFC history. Fans will truly love it.
Both UFC196
and UFC202 were massive events. So there’s no doubt that sports fans around the
world would buy the finale in the event UFC approves it.
