The regular season is over and it’s now time to go and get some serious talks about the upcoming NBA 2017 playoffs. #Sportstalk247 has placed its prediction about each division.
Let’s all get down and see how each bracket will going to
be.
WEST FIRST ROUND
1 GSW vs 8 POR
- The Warriors with a regular season win advantage of 2-1 against the Trail Blazers will surely work smoothly with the ball. Portland’s biggest problem? None other than KD and Curry. Expect behind the arc shooting rampage and ball movements from the squad of Golden State. PICK: GSW
4 LAC vs 5 UTA
- These two teams had a really good season both having 51-31 (W-L) team standing. Only one of these two needs to advance and it’s going to be the Clippers with 7 games winning streak going into this series. This won’t be an easy round for the Clips. CP3 and his gang will be facing Hayward, Gorbert and veteran Joe Johnson on the other end of the line. But the Clips had been on a tougher situation before. They can handle the Jazz in 6th. PICK: LAC
3 HOU vs 6 OKC
- Battle of the MVPS! This is the most interesting match of the first round in West. The OKC had won 2 games of their 3 meetings with the Rockets with a very close margin. But it doesn’t matter for Rockets’ star James Harden who worked as a 6th man for the OKC for most of his career. The Oklahoma has only one guy on the floor that does everything, while the Rockets have everything who can do anything. It’s all about limiting the turnovers and having enough support. PICK: HOUS
2 SAS vs 7 MEM
- Remember what happened in the 2011 playoff series between 1 SAS and 8 MEM? That was the last time the Grizzlies won a playoff series against the Spurs. That was the last time I saw the Grizzlies looked healthy and hungry. Today, it’s unimaginable that the MEM can match what the Spurs will offer to them. Zach’s era is over and Tony Allen is not in the roster. Pick SAS
EAST FIRST ROUND
1 BOS vs 8 CHI
- The Celtics obtained the #1 spot in EC for the first time since 2008. They had a terrific season with biggie smalls leading the green team. They will be facing problematic Chicago Bulls that battled till their death at 8th spot. You can’t count off the Bulls especially when their big 3 connects. Butler, Wade and Rondo are experience professional ballers. But I think the Celtics are ready for whatever the Bulls will bargain. The Celtics is in good hands. They may lose at home but they may also win away from their home. This is going to be a really great battle. PICK: BOS
4 WAS vs 5 ATL
- The Hawks had been successful in defending their first round matches for the last two years (in 2014-15 vs Nets (4-2) and 2015-16 vs Celtics (4-2)). But 2017 will be different. The Wall and Beal duo will be too fast and too furious for the hawks. I can’t see anyone from Atlanta who could help Millsap and Schroder to score and win to continue their first round winning adventure. Forget about Dwight, he looks tired and done. Expect Wizards to be all-out in this series. PICK: WAS
3 TOR vs 6 MIL
- The Bucks though packed with younger players and with the most improved in the name of Giannis, doesn’t have enough experience to deal with more established Raptors. Lowry, DeRozan and Ibaka will be the keys on this series. The Bucks might snatch some wins against the Raptors, But the Raps will still be the victorious. PICK: TOR
2 CLE vs 7 IND
- George is a fantastic player. But his team is not. George alone won’t be enough to overthrow a team that’s having a good run and aiming for a third consecutive championship appearance. The Indiana is blessed to steal at least 1 game against the Cavs. PICK: CLE
