I'm going to keep it short & sweet, you got what you asked for, now you have to see me JUNE 17. This time leave the excuses at home. #EARNED – Andre Ward via Twitter
When the dotted lines were signed and the papers got sealed, no other man were got thrilled than the "Krusher".
The rematch is like a dream come true for the Russian boxer.
"I'm glad to know that rematch will happen. I really hope that Andre Ward will get into the ring for this rematch. Fans of boxing will see the real Krusher--the one they have missed for couple of my last fights. For me this rematch is very important as no other bout in my entire boxing career. Thanks a lot to all of boxing fans," - Sergey Kovalev
Both Ward and Kovalev will be taking part on a three city press tour. In New York City, The Bay Area and Los Angeles.
The title bout is presented by Corona Extra and will be produced and distributed by HBO pay-per-view.
On their first meeting, Andre Ward fled with a very close decision over Kovalev. Even #Sportstalk247 had scored the bout 114-113 to Ward. That was very tough and close.
But the former light heavyweight title holder Sergey Kovalev thought that he got robbed and was ahead of Ward with at least two rounds.
"It's the wrong decision," "But I don't want to give my opinion. Everybody is here, witnesses are here, everybody saw what happened," - Sergey Kovalev
Now that the second meeting is finally set, Russian Kovalev has a chance to revive his career and get back what he had lost in November last year.
#Sportstalk247 is not rooting for anyone, but after seeing the first meeting, #Sportstalk247 believes that Kovalev knows what to do and what adjustments needs to be done in order to take back the W.
