Pacquiao-Horn: Promoters refused to make an official announcement

Promoters for the Pacquiao-Horn declined to broadcast the projected fight saying “there is no event to be announced" until all contracts had been signed.
Reports of having Pacquiao-Horn is sealed had been circulating in many sports outlets for weeks.

On Wednesday, Pacquiao’s camp announced that WBO welterweight champ will be facing Horn in Brisbane in June.
But the promoters of the said fight, Duco Events and Top Rank Boxing aren’t yet ready to make an official announcement.

Duco Events statement:

"Until (the) process is completed, where all parties are contractually bound, there is no event to be announced,"

"Media speculation has seen a lot of expectations created, and then dashed in months gone by with this event."

Dotted lines aren’t signed yet. Envelops aren’t sealed yet. But they’ve gotten at the dead end.

The fairy tale story of Pacquiao-Horn will come in reality.

After a failed negotiation for a $38 Million contest with Amir Khan, Pacquiao's camp turned their wheel back in Brisbane to meet unbowed Jeff Horn instead and will put Pacquiao's WBO welterweight belt at stake.

Horn is still unknown and inexperienced boxer while Manny Pacquiao already paved his legacy in boxing history and got a high level of caliber.

Expect that Team Pacquiao will be having a smooth expedition in Brisbane Australia.

But despite of being the underdog, this is still going to be a really great match for Jeff Horn as his name will be on the spotlight.

Facing a global super star like Manny Pacquiao means a lot. Boogying in the same ring with a legend is once in a lifetime experience and there’s a high chance that Jeff Horn could sell more tickets and seats for his future fights.

But Horn still must perform. Avoid getting toyed and put all his best. Let Pacquiao know that he’s not a kid anymore. Everyone will be watching.
