Dana White: Mcgregor’s next fight will be in the UFC

Conor McGregor (22-3) who holds two title belts (Featherweight and Lightweight) in UFC is very eager to stage a fight against retired boxing star Floyd Mayweather.

The said match has been in talks for about a year now.

He (Conor) even got his boxing license in California and very vocal in social media.

But despite of this development, the McGregor – Mayweather “super fight” is far from reality.

There are a lot of things that needs to consider. And we need to remind ourselves that one of those is that the UFC holds exclusive rights to McGregor who is still under their contract.

Conor has been warned multiple times on going out against his employer. Now, Dana White has spoken and confirms Conor’s next fight will be in the UFC.

Dana White releases statement to TMZ

“I don’t know where we’re at,” White said. “We’re nowhere. We’re nowhere with it. Conor wouldn’t train with him (Freddie Roach), Conor has his own team and his own crew. I expect Conor’s next fight to be in the UFC, in mixed martial arts (MMA), and it would be against the winner of Khabib and Ferguson.”

“The fight (against Floyd) is gonna be millions of dollars. The guy can make anywhere from 30 to 60 million bucks.”

“Listen, people have been doubting Conor since the day he stepped onto the scene. Khabib is awesome, Khabib is tough, but people have been doubting him since day one.”

Thoughts

From my own perspective, the McGregor – Mayweather fight is fully baloney.

But we couldn’t break people from pushing this bout to happen.

This is a million dollar contest.

Both parties could get million dollar dead presidents.

Both are superb combatants on their respective sports.

They don’t need to prove whose best….coz they’ve already proven.
