The clash of the two biggest boxing stars: Gennady Golovkin vs Canelo Alvarez II

The long wait is over as the maddest boxing event this year, the Gennady Golovkin – Canelo Alvarez II will take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas tomorrow and be aired on HBO Pay-Pay-View.

Both warriors from Kazakhstan and Mexico made weight and was on prescribe weight limit at 159.6 lbs and 159.4 lbs for Gennady (38-0-1, 34 KOs) and Canelo (49-1-2, 34 KOs) respectively.

The two will be battling out for WBC, WBA and IBO title belts that’s currently owned by Golovkin.

The traditional stare-down got heated when Canelo rushed toward Golovkin’s face and invaded his space. But the knockout artist from Kazakh stayed gentle and answered Canelo with a dead stare.

The hype and hate is evident.

The two was instantly separated by a mass of security personnel and other staff.

After the weigh-in, Golovkin addressed to the crowd that tomorrow's even’t won’t be just a regular boxing show but a massive war and called Canelo a clown.

“I saw he’s like a clown, he’s like a showman. He’s not true guy.” “Tomorrow you’ll see a real war. This isn’t a fight, this is not regular fight. This is like special war.” Gennady Golovkin

Alvarez on the other end, pointed that he’s motivated and very excited for the 13th round to start.

“I got excited from seeing all the fans. They motivated me to do that right now and more than anything you’re going to see. I defeated him at the weigh-in, now it’s time to defeat him on Saturday.” “I don’t like to talk. Tomorrow I will show you instead of words.”– Canelo Alvarez through interpreter

Both fighters promised that the fight will end in a dramatic way.

PREDICTION

On their first meeting, I had Triple G ahead with 7-5 rounds against Canelo. But wasn’t too impressed by what he (Gennady) has shown.

I know Golovkin has the right tool to stop Alvarez, and it is possible if he correct his mistakes and made some adjustments.

The key is to put more pressure and to land the “righteous right hand”.

The jab is there and it’s good but jab alone won’t be enough to beat Canelo.

I guess somewhere in round 8 or 9, he will caught Canelo in a corner and drop the A-Bomb!
