Floyd Mayweather: This is the last one (McGregor Fight)

In an exclusive talk with ESPN’s Stephen Anthony Smith, Floyd Mayweather (49-0) asserted that McGregor “Money Fight” will be his last bout and he has no interest to the winner of Canelo-Golovkin clash.

Mayweather is scheduled to fight UFC’s pound for pound lightweight champion Conor McGregor in a boxing match this coming August 26th.

The most attractive sports figure in today’s generation will take home around $100 Million.

Floyd who retired from the sport twice of his career (20 years in boxing), had discussed to Smith his past decisions. He claimed that McGregor was the reason for his ring return (money).

"The first time [I retired it] was a vacation. I just needed a vacation. I just needed some time off to get my head right. The second time [in 2015] I had no plans to come back at all. And they gave me a deal that I couldn't refuse [to face McGregor],"

During the conversation, the 40-year-old Mayweather also added that Al Haymon knows what’s best for him, it’s all about health and the undefeated kingpin is done lacing up his gloves.

He’s not thinking about another million dollar offer, he’s not thinking about Canelo-Golovkin winner. After the McGregor fight, he’ll pack his things up and leave the sport (again) forever.

"I don't think [there will be another offer that I can't refuse]. Don't even go to Canelo and Triple G - it doesn’t matter [what they offer]. I gave [my manager] Al Haymon my word. I shook his hand and gave him my word that this is the last one. That's what I wanted to do. We talked, I got much respect for him and he cares about my health. He cares about my health, he cares about me period."

Floyd formerly tops the Forbes highest-paid athlete (for the past three years) and had a career earnings of $700 Million. Per Forbes, after his Augusts 26th bout, he could push his career earnings to $1 Billion.
